Dates: September 19th, 26th and October 3rd
Time: 10am - 12pm
Total Cost : £150
Description
This workshop is split into 3 morning sessions and is aimed at complete beginners or those who would like to refresh their stained glass skills.
On the first morning participants will learn to cut glass to a specific design.
On the second morning participants will get the chance to use stained glass paints to paint onto their glass ready for the last session. Inspiration for the paint work can be taken from images of the woodland floor and the exhibition currently showing within the Dry Water space, "Beneath Shadowed Woods" by artist Gillian Lee Smith. Helen will take the painted pieces of stained glass to her home studio where the paint is fired onto the glass in a kiln.
On the third and last session the glass is assembled using lead and solder then cemented and polished.
Each participant will then be able to take their stained glass panel home with them.
All materials are provided.
