2023 Review

We are constantly told that data is important so although we much prefer meeting and greeting you in person  we thought we would share with you some Dry Water Stats for 23,.

In 2023 our dynamic cultural hub had attendees from the North East, the wider UK , Europe and even 4  New Yorkers who adored our “ awesome arts centre!!”

Apparently our fire escape is reminiscent of a scene from West Side Story, Paula is busy planning a re-enactment!

We worked with: 43 artists from a variety of disciplines, 35  cultural/educational/health/social organisations in Northumberland / UK / Germany / Austria / France / Italy

We offered430  workshops and classes 35  exhibitions and events

12  volunteers supported and enhanced our creative offer.

We also made Georgina the ginormous bird for the Amble Christmas Light Parade - made by many hands - thank you to all who contributed.

During 2023 Dry Water Arts brought you a rich and varied programme including

Visual Arts : Printing : Music Performances : Sea Shanties : Movement : Meditation : Drumming : Sonic Bathing : Talks: Yoga : Dance : Socials : Textiles : Choreographic Labs : Carnival Arts : Mask and puppet making : Quizzes : Performances : Mentoring :Youth arts : Elder arts : Research : Commissions and curation.

No wonder we are ready for a Christmas break!

We would like to thank everyone who attends classes, performances, exhibitions and events. Without you and your support we could not keep doing what we love best.....which is to make art and culture a central part of our community.

As a gesture of thanks to you for all your support we are holding our prices for all weekly classes.

We know how hard the cost of living  crisis is and it's even more important to keep those creative and social connections alive, we are proud to be  “Amble’s creative heart”

A special thank you to those who have made generous donations to support the work we do in ensuring everyone can access quality arts , creativity and a sense of belonging. This year we would like to thank North Eastern Composites LTD  for making a difference and ensuring Kin Club can continue to be a place of welcome, warmth and friendship.

With every warm wish to you and yours

With love from Me and Her !!
