Composer, sound artist and writer John Kefala Kerr returns to Dry Water Arts with Fray, a 40-minute audiovisual installation featuring projected poems and images, and an immersive soundtrack.
Developed as part of his recent Associate Artist residency at An Tobar and Mull Theatre on the Isle of Mull, Fray is inspired by the patterns, hues and textures of woven fabric, inviting audiences to consider the connections between the interweaving of warp and weft and the sights and sounds of coastlines, mountains, running water, living things, machinery, optical illusions…
The Fray poems were shortlisted in the 2024 Magma Poetry Pamphlet Competition and are due to be published by Black Cat Poetry Press in 2026.
