Devoré is a textile technique using a paste screen printed onto mixed fibre fabric which when dried and ironed burns out fibres creating a pattern and texture on the fabric in this instance a silk / viscose velvet. Wherever the paste is applied the fibres are burnt away leaving the background woven fibres next to the pattern in a soft raised pile. We will then apply dyes to colour the fabric which can then be made into a scarf.
