Kitchen Lithography is an easy and quick printing technique, which uses materials found in most kitchens! Lithography works on the principal that that grease and water don’t mix. The printing surface is kept wet, so that a roller charged with oil-based ink can be rolled over the surface, and ink will only stick to the grease-receptive image area
We will be using tinfoil instead of the traditional lithographic stone or plate, soap, chocolate and crayon to draw on the plate and Coca cola to etch !,
You will learn how to print your plate
using 2 methods – one using our lovely printing press and the other using a kitchen spoon! This is a really easy printmaking technique to continue at home without any expensive equipment once you know how!
