Restorative Yoga is a slow , mindful practice .
As the name suggests the purpose of this form of yoga is to restore a sense of balance by allowing you the time to RELEASE body and mind. A key component of restorative of yoga is learning how to let go and to feel grounded and supported. Yoga bolsters and blankets are used to support the body Simple postures are then held for several minutes and are characterised by a sense of deliberate and focused unwinding.
The effect is to calm and soothe and as such restorative yoga is particularly beneficial for anyone who feels frazzled, anxious , stressed or in need of some Me Time.
